Being a gamer myself I’m really enjoying the gaming talk on The Simulcast. Long may it continue!

I checked out a few of these games myself last year at Eurogamer in London. This is the biggest event for checking out new games we get here in the UK.

I’m hoping to check it out again this year and perhaps do some coverage of it myself.

Anyways, keep up the good work!

My Grandson has a set of Skullcandy headphones for about 5 months and they are falling apart.
Numerous attempts to contact Skullcandy to place a warranty claim have gone unanswered.Customer service un-impressive

Michael, I really like the idea of the T4 network (à la TWiT). I know you are busy with your TNA schedule, and I am sure it would be difficult for Bill and Steve as well, but if you each had individual shows as well as the simulcast and other shows on your T4 network. You could promote other podcasts in that way and possibly gain viewership for the simulcast.

I got the Pogoplug and hooked up my 2 Clickfree HD all worked well until I got the reminder to do my backup and my system wouldn’t recognize the Clickfree.

I have a ‘full install’ edition of Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit that I recieved at a Microsoft launch event in Boston earlier this month, but I need the 64-bit edition for the PC that I need to install it on. I’d love to trade it for a 64-bit edition of Windows 7 Ultimate – even if it’s an upgrade edition.

If I can’t swap my 32-bit edition it’ll only collect dust.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m still playing with the video quality – this episode was only 170MB. I’ll see if I can tweak the quality (and maybe the font size for the chat) so that it’s more legible on a small device. In iTunes on the original file it’s very legible.

We’ll get there, I’m sure!

I downloaded the Simulcast video from iTunes. With the exception of the chat room, it looks VERY good. I found the chat room to be virtually unreadable on the recording. It is too blurry. I recommend not including it in the the recording. This will make room for up to 6 participants in the podcast – 3 over 3 – in the future.

The movie: ‘District 9′ is awful. I just saw it. A much better version of the script is: ‘Enemy Mine’ from 1985.

In response to your comment about XDA.

I want to take it one or two steps further.

If HTC hadn’t gone from solely a hardware maker to a hard- and software maker (touchflo and manilla for example)and without the enthousiasts at XDA, Microsoft would not exist anymore in the smartphone market.
HTC and XDA saved MS in a very big way.

I wouldn’t be on WinMo if it wasn’t for HTC and XDA.

BTW: my latest ROM on my Touch HD came from HTCPedia.com. Have a look there.

My only issue with the Touch HD is that it was never available in the US with US 3G bands. That’s a huge miss for HTC, and one that many Americans are very upset to this day about.

I’ve spent lots of time at XDA, and I have to admit that without XDA, I wouldn’t have stuck with Windows Mobile as long as I did…

Sorry Michael but you are speaking bollocks.
The HTC Touch HD with a HSDPA data contract that I have been using for almost 10 month now is still one of the best handsets on the (european) market.
I have got a custom ROM from one of the XDA wizards on my Touch HD and it really rocks.
I am not a Iphone hater, but I just really enjoy my Windows Mobile phone. Yes, there are still some of us fools around. Just browse on XDA-Dev. some time.

I think Apple’s success and popularity got to them. They’re getting lazy and not being as innovative this year. I remember back in 2004 – 2005 when they were hungry to get in the game and finally made that transition from PPC to Intel.

It seems like they’re making all the wrong moves this year. (ie: Rolling back the Macbook line? White? Losing the uniform look of all their products.) The same with Snow Leopard — the $30 service pack. iPhone 3.1? You call those new tweak features? It should have stayed 3.0.2. The iPod nano isn’t as popular as the iPod touch. Why does it get a camera before the iPod touch?

The only change that’s worth talking about is the new UI of iTunes 9.

Maybe they’re running out of ideas? I don’t know. I’ve been an admirer of their products since 2002 or 2003 and saw a lot of potential. Apple needs to pick up the slack in 2010 because 2009 was such a disappointment.

Then again, I was in the middle of making an offering to the gods of porcelain – so I wasn’t in the mood to give a crap about anything coming out of Steve Jobs.

The above is completely true, with the exception that I was actually reading the WSJ during my constitutional. I had more important things to do other than reaching over to my iPhone to read twitter updates.

In conclusion, Steve Jobs presentation did not move me ….and I’ll leave it at that.

There is an Apple store about 20 miles from me. This was shipped from Apple in Valencia, CA. I think they just tried to save money on shipping even though I paid $10 in shipping charges for this “free upgrade”.

I have. I love the speed. I don’t have to wait 60 seconds for it to shut down; it does it in under a second now! As far as functionality and features go, there aren’t many notable ones that would rock your world (that would explain the small price of $29.)

It’s probably where you’re located. You live in Kentucky, right? Is there an Apple Store near you? People who pre-order it have it shipped to them from their nearest Apple Store — not from Apple California themselves. I’m not sure whether that’s your case. I don’t know if there’s any Apple Stores in Kentucky.

I didn’t bother pre-ordering because I just dropped by Best Buy on Friday to picked it up. Sorry to hear that you have to wait on all the excitement, Bill.
