Hey guys, I just wanted to comment regarding the Xbox change.  Being stationed on a ship, internet access is at a premium.  Usually, your limited to a government computer to have any access, and it is usually slow.  I agree with Microsoft changing, because when we go on deployment for 7 to 9 months, that Xbox will never see the internet.  The only games to play will be disc based.  However, I agree with Patrick, they should have opt in for the discless features, so things move forward, but we don’t cutoff a segment of the population that do not have reliable internet access.  Just my 2 cents.  Love the show, keep up the great work.

Hey guys,

I know that several of you have already gotten in pre-orders for the Xbox One (and possibly PS4?), but from the point of view of a non hardcore gamer, my main theory is this:

Is there any point in getting a PS4/Xbox One on launch?

Until the launch line-ups are confirmed, what games are out there to grab you onto the new generation of consoles? Watch Dogs is available on current-gen, as are this year’s sports games.

Grand Theft Auto V won’t be making the leap, whilst the PS3 still has titles like the Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls to keep current-gen users happy.

What do you think it’ll take to get the casual gamer to make the leap? Will it be both MS and Sony’s true stances on DRM being proven, or do you think there are a number of people avoiding day one purchases to avoid another repeat of the red ring of death scenario that we saw with the Xbox 360 early on?
